Altering pacifism -hindrance in your games
Pacifism is a type of hindrance/disadvantage/flaw that works very differently in different types of games. In most games I play or run, no-one would take the pacifism unless there's a work-a-round against it's limitations - and I can't blame anyone for that, as these games usually have at least one combat each session, and usually everyone's most eagerly waiting for those combats! And they often are the most exciting parts of a game session.
Babylon 5 paper ships
Some quick paper models for Babylon 5 games. I've also scratchbuilt G'Quan Heavy cruisers but there are only 3 of them so at least one more was needed. The map below is from e2o.
Olympus corvettes are also most welcome (and Canon!) addition to my Earth fleet.
Character creation: Flaws make the character
"My character is ready. What? Oh, I need to get some flaws to pay off all the extra stuff I've already picked. But my character is perfect... Now, what flaws would have least effect on my character?"
Sounds familiar? All too familiar to me. Most of my players want to think of all those munchkiny statistics and features first, and then, if the system has a mechanism for negative features (flaws, hindrances, disadvantages, whatever they are called), they try to find something that doesn't hinder their character. I confess, I'm guilty of that too.
Chemical container car - paper gaming props for your modern/scifi games
Here's a paper model of a chemical container train car I've used as a prop in my Savage Cyberworld -campaign. Print it on two A4/Letter sheets, on cardstock, 120g paper or something else strudier than standard paper. I haven't added instructions as the model is quite simple, and I didn't see it necessary to add the parts that attach train cars to each other (whatever they are called in English), model worked quite well without them.
Download miniature -scale hospital furniture
Here's a small free papercraft download for you - something little that's easy to put together and can enliven your modern, cyberpunk, scifi or other roleplaying or miniature games. Hospital beds, curtains and small bedside -desks. These pieces were used in my Savage Cyberpunk game.
Dungeon walls! Print, cut and glue walls for your rpg's
I find it surprising that there's no free, high-quality printable basic walls downloadable anywhere - so I decided to create such and share them. These dungeon (or castle) walls are partially uneven structure, like they were very old, and this way work better as cave wall or cliff.
The photo below shows the walls in use; they have been altered a little bit after printing these walls but they are very close to these.
Great new free Sword & Sorcery -halloween adventure from GRAmel
GRAmel, which has recently become my favorite publisher, released a free Halloween -themed adventure for Beasts & Barbarians. The whole Beasts & Barbarians -series is most fascinating and this adventure is no disappointment. I read the adventure through and it's one of my two options to run next sunday, even if I usually dislike ready adventures.
How to create scratchbuilt starships (or anything)
If you want to create yourself cheap small-scale spaceships, you have two options available: Buy or find free papercraft starships, or scratchbuild them. This article shows you basics of scratchbuilding starships.
