Shortly in Finnish: Tämä on pienoismalli lapsuuden kotitilastani Asikkalassa. Materiaalina on käytetty pääasiassa pahvia ja pienoismalli on upotettu lasikantisen sohvapöydän sisään. Jouduin tekemään pöytään ylimääräisen välipohjan valkopintaisesta vaneerista, muuten tämä malli oli sopivin pienoismallia varten.
Sorry, content browsing has some technical issues. If you want to switch main category (on the right), choose -Any- and then choose the category you want to see next. I'm trying to fix the issue soon.
My Beasts & Barbarians campaign starts soon, and I wanted to take a few inspirational photos while waiting for the game. These diorama-like photos have only few pieces of terrain, but represent situations that might well be epic moments in a Sword & Sorcery game.
This is a collection of my fantasy city terrains put together, to form a full diorama of a city port area.
A Small experimental diorama made as a gift.
Here's a few pics from the model of my home farm in Asikkala where I grew up, to be a gift for my father. Above, you can see all but one of the buildings in the model. The models I've created before and given as a gift, now I'll create the terrain around and build it inside a glass -covered table.
The Institute of Orivesi (Oriveden Opisto in Finnish), also known as KVS-Institute, is one of our country's most reputated folk high schools. It is located at town of Orivesi approximately fourty kilometres to the direction of Jyväskylä from Tampere. The activity of the Institute consists of many winter-period courses, short summer-courses and currently being owned by Kansanvalistusseura also distance education. I studied arts in the institute in 94-95.
There's one movie I'm waiting for this year - Iron Sky. From the makers of Star Wreck (which you can download for free - unlike SW, Iron Sky is a big budget movie), Iron Sky is the most expensive Finnish movie (no, doesn't look like anything Finnish you've seen before, it's a international film like Rare Exports, not anything like Kaurismäki's). The movie premiers in a few days in Berlin and is coming to Finnish theatres in april, and in other locations later.
Brief review for the hasty: Beasts & Barbarians is a sword & sorcery setting that has a feel of familiarity - perhaps because many civilizations have been inspired by historical civilizations. Carefully spiced up with originality, combined with classic sword & sorcery elements and tied together with a believable history this setting make a very tasty stew.
So I got Jalizar - City of Thieves just before Christmas in July -sales - which is good for you if you're interested in this great urban setting, as I got my review written when there's still little time to buy it on sale if you hurry. I had to finish this review in a hurry, so I apologise if I've forgotten something
