Miniatures

A jewel from Pathfinder miniatures for every DDM collector

Medusa, standing at the door of a temple

While I have little need for Pathfinder miniatures after collecting a large amount of D&D miniatures, I found one diamond from the collection that every DDM collector should be aware of - Medusa. D&D monster design decisions have moved away from classic themes since the late releases of 3E line, and I haven't been happy most of these changes. What I did like is what they did to Lamia. But medusa, just like dryad, were transformed into something that wasn't so main stream.

Babylon 5 -inspired freighter paper miniatures

This tiny and simple printable papercraft model allows you to create your fleet of space freighters with a feel of the popular scifi series. I didn't plan the model for public download - sorry if there are any inaccuracies, I tried to clean up the sheet a bit.

Babylon 5 paper ships

Some quick paper models for Babylon 5 games. I've also scratchbuilt G'Quan Heavy cruisers but there are only 3 of them so at least one more was needed. The map below is from e2o.

Olympus corvettes are also most welcome (and Canon!) addition to my Earth fleet.

Diorama: Winter fight

Completed diorama photo

Completed diorama photo

This small diorama -photo was made for a small maxminis -competition. Some terrain props I've made before were used in the diorama, and potato flour to make the ground look more authentic. Sky was taken from a photo and added to it using Gimp.

Below is the original photo, with original background:

Gaming terrain: Ancient cemetery

Graves, crypts, creepy trees and statues

A classic theme in fantasy games, this cemetery terrain has gained some inspiration from Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and Montmartre cemetery in Paris. These terrains have often seen use in rpg's, and they really bring atmosphere.

Materials used

Plaster cast in mold (statue, tombstones, wall on the background)

Cardboard (Crypt walls and roof, bases, thinner obelisk parts)

Miniatures for Babylon 5 rpg: Narn (Customized prepainted miniatures)

Prepainted Narn miniatures - first phase

While I'm still going to post more in prepainted Modern/Cyberpunk miniatures series, I thought of posting some miniatures from another project of mine. I'm going to run Babylon 5 some day, and I want miniatures for it too. For this purpose I've been collecting some prepainted minis that are easy to modify - even if I sometimes have to repainte them completely.

Here's my Narn minis:

Miniatures for Sword & Sorcery: Part 2 - DDM Picks & about buying singles

D&D minis for Sword & Sorcery: Priests & cultists

This is the second post in series showing miniatures suitable for a Sword & Sorcery roleplaying game. This time, you'll see some great picks from D&D miniatures for a Sword & Sorcery game.

Note that fixed minis may have different name somewhere - they often have one name for miniature and a different one for the miniature game (Roving swordmage might be called Male human swordmage)

Miniatures terrain pieces

These pieces have been made to be used with D&D miniatures. I've tried to keep things as simple as possible, therefore some of the rules may sound a little weird; And originally this page has been made some 5 years before moving it to current site... but it has a nice collection of terrain piece images so I wanted to add it here.

New D&D miniatures: optimized for roleplayers, how will the game turn out?

One of the more interesting GenCon news was the new D&D miniatures line. This product seems to be designed specifically for roleplayers (long-awaited themed sets +larger tiles), but includes a game of it's own. The game is diceless but uses cards; No-one knows yet how will the game be, but description has similarities with the awarded Memoir '44. The game may also give hints of what will be in 5E
