This terrain is going to show you step by step how I'm doing my winter war gaming terrains for Axis & Allies miniatures. I'm going to post the photos for start, and write more text later about creation process. This tiny and simple printable papercraft model allows you to create your fleet of space freighters with a feel of the popular scifi series. I didn't plan the model for public download - sorry if there are any inaccuracies, I tried to clean up the sheet a bit.
While I'm still going to post more in prepainted Modern/Cyberpunk miniatures series, I thought of posting some miniatures from another project of mine. I'm going to run Babylon 5 some day, and I want miniatures for it too. For this purpose I've been collecting some prepainted minis that are easy to modify - even if I sometimes have to repainte them completely.

I've been publishing a lot of roleplaying/gamemastery/miniatures articles recently, and now it's time to get back to modelling. This time I'll show your how to create realistic -looking dunes and desert terrain yourself.
Background and motivation
I've built a lot of fantasy terrain, but not before starting to play Star Wars miniatures game has it come to my mind to create desert terrain. As I started to do it, I realized that it's pretty simple so I could as well create a tutorial while doing it.
Galactica is one of the games I'm planning to run with Savage Worlds in future. It's most likely to be a mini-campaign, consisting of ~5 sessions. As a miniature and prop -fanatic, I've gathered some props for the game already.
Most of the miniatures I'll use in the game will be sames I use in my cyberpunk campaign. Soldiers, men in suits, commoners, they all fit in. I've bought a few cheap clix I'll use as pilots, even if they don't have perfect match for the suit they'll work:

Start situation: Characters have rested after their mission in africa, and follow news about recent fusion of two mega corporations, Kenta cyber dynamics and Chimera biotechnics. Conversation in the office's lounge gets heated, and Agnes, Tony and a third employee get out on the street for a cigarette.
