While I'm still going to post more in prepainted Modern/Cyberpunk miniatures series, I thought of posting some miniatures from another project of mine. I'm going to run Babylon 5 some day, and I want miniatures for it too. For this purpose I've been collecting some prepainted minis that are easy to modify - even if I sometimes have to repainte them completely.

I told you briefly about Arcane Legions miniatures in my first post about miniatures for Sword & Sorcery. Now I'll give you a bit more insight of these minis if you consider using them in a Sword & Sorcery game - or any ancient era/fantasy roleplaying game. I'll have to say again that I love these minis and would really like to use them for a roleplaying game, and with some additions they would work well with Beasts & Barbarians.
I've collected minis from various product lines for Sword & Sorcery roleplaying campaign for some time now. Recent discussion at Savage Worlds forums about what minis should be used for Beasts & Barbarians game gave me an idea perhaps I should document my collections and help others to find miniatures for their Sword & Sorcery games.
This is the second post in series showing miniatures suitable for a Sword & Sorcery roleplaying game. This time, you'll see some great picks from D&D miniatures for a Sword & Sorcery game.
Note that fixed minis may have different name somewhere - they often have one name for miniature and a different one for the miniature game (Roving swordmage might be called Male human swordmage)
Another post in the series helping you to find prepainted miniatures for your Sword & Sorcery rpg - this time mostly D&D miniatures, but also some heroscape. I've decided to use Troll and Toad as the site to link the miniatures to as they have a good selection of product lines for sale and get refills from time to time. I'm using mostly cheap miniatures, although there are some more expensive ones, which I'll try to mention.
Traditionally, most fantasy miniatures represent warriors, wizards and other combatant or adventurous types, and even then only people. This leaves many of us gamemasters want more miniatures, both for scenes taking place in the middle of crowds or where larger, more exotic weapons are used in combat. There are some such items various manufacturers are producing, but mostly they are metal miniatures, and many prepainted miniature collectors want to stay away from those metal ones.
Chases on horsebacks, cavalry charges and extremely cool miniatures. Mounted miniatures are made for Sword & Sorcery, much more than for Dungeons & Dragons! Here I'll present you various mounted/cavalry miniatures you can use for your S&S games. While many of them are DDM, there are also some excellent Mage Knights among them and a view to the Lord of the Rings miniatures.
Commoners (or non-combatants) are miniatures that have a lot of use in rpg's. A combat becomes a lot more interesting when the villains are among civilians, the heroes need to organize defense of a village full of peasants or the heroes will anger the townsfolk when they are surrounded by hundreds of them.
