'Ok, which ones of you are carrying the light?'

Magical light and a torch, finished!

As our games often go forward fast, that question often comes up. Especially when fighting against enemies that can see in darkness, it can become important. It is often ignored, but it can become an effective combat tactic to get rid of opponent's lights.

Axis & Allies miniatures terrain, Pacific

Pacific terrain is addition to my AAM terrain collection. A lot of the terrains used in these games are some, but there are several new components which make the terrain look completely different.

Carnival mask, a tribute to Gary Larson

Gary Larson's Nerd mask in use

Digging through old stuff, I found something I could use for this year's MayDay party - a mask inspired by Gary Larson's Far Side comics. A 15-year old mask that had gone through a rough party and several migrations was a bit in a bad shape, but usable anyways. But a I was hosting a party and the mask was quite clumsy (especially what come to vision), I couldn't keep the mask on for very long. It seemed to do quite an impression to the kids though, who surrounded me fast, wanting to make me reveal my face :)

Pinterest: the best social media tool for gamers so far?

Pinterest - a magnificent social media tool for gamers

Well, I liked Google Wave a lot, but it had it's issues and is now being shut down. But the new rising star among social media sites is Pinterest, which is extremely useful for roleplayers, terrain builders and miniature collectors as well. And as I'm verfy visually oriented person, it's quite natural I enjoy this new toy. But as a gamer, I wanted to think of using this toy also in gaming.
