Axis & Allies miniatures terrain, Pacific

Posted Tue, 02/01/2011 - 12:30 by Shaper and Maker

Pacific terrain is addition to my AAM terrain collection. A lot of the terrains used in these games are some, but there are several new components which make the terrain look completely different.

Creating roads and trees in winter terrain piece

This terrain is going to show you step by step how I'm doing my winter war gaming terrains for Axis & Allies miniatures. I'm going to post the photos for start, and write more text later about creation process. You can find some details about the terrain creation process in Axis & Allies miniatures ww2 town terrain, WIP -post.

This post shows you detail about constructing models and terrain bases for ww2 town terrain meant to be used with Axis & Allies miniatures. You can see photos of the ready terrain in another post. You can see details about construction phases by bringing the mouse pointer on the photo.

Axis & allies miniatures target area flags

Target area flags prepared

These flags can be tied to piece of wire, cocktail stick etc. and when attached to a simple base, they can be used to mark objective hex in axis & allies miniatures games. You can make the flag look more live-like when you make the flag a bit curvy ( see the pic below). The printable image has two sets of flags, one for thinner wires and second for a bit thicker cocktail sticks.

Target sector flags

My earlier victory area flags have been quite popular, and because of a request, I've made a new set of flags. I haven't been able to print them myself, so the photo below is from dano903 at http://www.axisandalliesunderground.com and http://community.wizards.com . If you're interested in these flags prepared and based, ask him!

WW2 fighters - coolness and nostalgy!

Classic duel - Spitfire vs. 109 over the channel

Did you assemble and paint WW2 military aircraft as a kid? I did, although I really didn't like much the glues and paints used in them, the ones I'm using currently in modelling and with miniatures are way easier to handle, an healthier too I guess. I also read Commando -comics and was generally fascinated about technology of The Great War. If you are also Plasticrack addict(tm), you'll be easily tempted to these.
