Beasts and Barbarians: Death of a Tyrant, parts II & III

Water, blessed water!

Warning: This post contains spoilers from the adventure! As we were playing in the middle of the week and were able to start closer to 9pm, we weren't able to get very far this time; This was the first session with no combats, we started right after a combat against captain Nekerios and finished when a group of crystal spirits pulled themselves out of spears they were impaled to and rushed towards Tereis and Doris. I'll post the next session in this post too as I run it before being able to post this... But let's start from the beginning.

Character gallery

I have brought here pictures and descriptions of some characters I have played. However, a great amount of pictures are quick sketches or they have disappeared somewhere with old GM's so there are only few pictures on this page.

Duchess Dania Applehill

Dania

Dania began her 'career' as an adventurer, desiring for fame, glory and experiences. Those she found unexpectedly when she revealed and nullified a plan to  assasinate the king.

Chronicles of Reilukerho Ptolus campaign: Rosegate house

Into the cellar

Warning, Spoilers to Ptolus players!

Heroes have been going adventuring while the workers they've hired are starting to build basement to the house. To everyone's surprise, the building seems to actually have a basement - the workers hit solid built stone and couldn't advance more. After a bit of searching, the heroes found a secret door that leads to the basement.

DnD Next - Really interesting character building methods?

If I get it right, DnD next will have some quite interesting features in character design. I've been tinkering my own game systems (but dropped the design when I found savage worlds which filled my rpg needs for now) and one feature I've been think of is having classes as a less rigid packages you can 'buy'. From what I've read, DDN will have an approaches to classes that resembles this. What I hadn't thought of was buying races as this kind of packages.

Free background music for your games

I happened to stumble upon this site when looking for new background musics for my rpg sessions; it's really worth checking! I am now categorizing them where they fit best (scifi/space, fantasy or both (or something else)). For my purposes, it was searching music with 'epic' feel that gave me what I wanted.
